Teresa Nicolo is an artist whose work is defined by a bold and expressive use of color.  A graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, she devoted many years to oil painting, creating large, vibrant and emotionally resonant pieces that often tell deeply personal stories.

In recent years, Teresa has turned her focus to pastels, drawn to their rich texture, subtle blending, and the expressive possibilities of mark-making.  Her work ranges from traditional landscapes to contemporary abstracts, unified by her signature use of color and intuitive style.

In addition to her studio practice, Teresa has spent the last decade serving as the portfolio co-chair for Art Goes To School of the Delaware Valley- a nonprofit program that brings art appreciation into elementary schools and nurtures a lifelong love of the arts in young students.

A member of the Pastel Society of America, the Philadelphia Pastel Society and the recipient of numerous awards, Teresa’s artwork is held in collections and exhibited in galleries across the United States.
